The Belgian sound art ensemble MAGDALENA SOLIS is named after the high priestess of an obscure Mexican 1960s blood cult. Thus it is well unsurprising, that listening to its music feels like undergoing a blood transfusion. “Hesperia” is an elaborate blend of menacing Miasmah-Dones, the Mideastern-Psych of the GRAILS, Spacerock a la WHITE HILLS and the trippy Krautrock of ABUNAI. It is a colorful and surreal sonic journey into the bizarre and unknown states of the human spirit.
An edition of 55 pro-dubbed tapes with cardboard slipcase inlay and additional info card has been released in April 2011.
